Guinea Pig

When I was a little boy my family had a guinea pig for a day. It was one of those class pets that a student got to take home, take care of, and bring back the next day. I am not sure if they do that anymore- I would totally understand if they didn't. The guinea pig we took home didn't fare so well. I was holding the cute little ball of soft fur, and I began to hug it. I hugged and cuddled it so tightly I actually killed the poor thing. My Mother then drove from pet store to pet store looking for a look-alike to replace it with... I don't really remember the experience too much- but I still feel bad for killing a guinea pig. Sitting down to do today's doodle the spirit of that poor guinea pig must have come back to haunt me, and so here is to you dead little guinea pig! This is for you!

You made me laugh out loud at work!
(What does that say about my character that I laugh at such a story?) I can't help but laugh every time I look at those popped out eyeballs.

My memory of the event was that we were pet sitting for another family. There were Two GP, and once you killed one, Mom drove around finnaly bought one and it was twice the size of the other one and would just sit on him in the cage.

I still laugh about this story, it's a family classic. Now with pictures. =D.

Classic story Marcus! And I love how this site of yours just goes from strength to strength, way beyond doodling these days! :)

There was a time when I didn't think I could laugh at this memory, now it is totally funny. Daniel was right, we were pet sitting, and out of nervousness, I laughed hysterically as I told the owners at their return. Somehow, they didn't see the humor in it. I love motherhood... never boring. You were a great kid though,oh so loving. Sometimes love hurts, just look at the buldging eyes on that critter... Great art work Marcus. I love the detail, the coloring. It just looks very professional and perfect. You are an artist!
