Pioneer Day Doodle

"Pioneer Children sang as they walked.... and walked.... and walked..... and walked..... and walked."

I kept singing that line over and over in my head as I was drawing this. Today the state of Utah celebrates Pioneer day. I cannot imagine having to do something so difficult... Nor can I imagine having to watch my family struggle on a long journey such as that of the pioneers. May we all remember the Pioneers today, and appreciate the courage (and in some cases Faith) that they had to travel west and start new lives. Have an excellent Friday.

Something new- Ive decided to do a giveaway the first Friday of every month- starting today. I will let this one go until the next Friday. A funny story about these stickers. I originally printed a lot of these stickers with the idea of getting in on the street art scene and get some exposure. On myspace I saw all of these "slap" artists getting some good exposure and I came in on the scene as "Sticker-Ninja" -I started slapping these stickers all over town, and trading with people all over the world! It was pretty fun & intense . Right when I started to get some good exposure and trade with some big-heads in the sticker slapping arena I got a knock on my apartment door. It was my city sheriff... he asked if I was the "Sticker Ninja" ......I put my head down and said it.... "Yes.... yes I am"
He was actually very nice and sat down and chatted with me for a while. He told me I could get fined for each sticker he found and that I could have that put on a criminal record as graffiti. He let me off with a warning and on his way out the door, he asked if he could have some stickers for his kids. I gave him a stack and off he went (I noticed that he had one of my stickers that he had pulled off a sign on his notepad!) -It was fun while it lasted but that surprise visit scared me enough to seek exposure as an artist in different areas (Such as this blog!) -I had a lot of fun with it though and even participated an art show for street artists in California through the street artist Nomad. Cruising the Caribbean

Woot Woot! I finished the super-doodle. no more rick-rolling. After staying at a pirate themed vacation house for almost a week I wanted to do a cool pirate ship picture. Next month I will be printing 25 of these and giving one to the nice man who invited my family to stay at his vacation house. The other 24 I will be selling, I will put a link when I do. Ok- so today is the first of the month, and I wanted to do a super doodle... like I did the first of June. I have put several hours into it and it still needs a few more- so if anybody was expecting a super doodle for todays doodle, I apologize, and you just got rick rolled.
