Robot Concepts
My little brother got married last Saturday. I traveled out to Atlanta to be there for the event, and didnt do much art. I got home last night and am now back at trying to post daily. Today I did a couple of quick rough robot character concepts in Alchemy.

Scary Mask
This one turned out a little scary looking- I hadent used Alchemy in a long time so I was playing with it and came up with the top sketch using some random shapes and lines. I saw a cool Mad-Max / Sci-Fi mask in there I wanted to play with. The doodle is that same sketch pulled into Photoshop and painting over it for a bit. Its starting to take form a bit. Maybe ill keep going with it but it does look kind of scary- Def not a "Good Guy" mask! Have a good Sunday.

Alchemy Robot
I am starting to really like Alchemy- this is after about 30 minutes of sketching in alchemy- I then brought it into photoshop and started to smooth it a little but had to speed things up so I did some quick colors and called him done- I was not loving his head or hands anyways... Have a great Thursday!

The Run-Away
The Runaway 14 year old boy grabbed the essentials on his way out of the house! In his angry tantrum he managed to strap a box of cheerios and pop-tarts along with his favorite pillow tucked under his arm. I decided to play around with Alchemy again since it is so fun and I stopped when I saw something in the randomness. I saw a boy with a pack- and then sketched out the idea. I then took the sketch and turned it into clean lines and then colored it in Photoshop. (Still learning... )
This reminds me a lot and was probably inspired by the events of my child hood. One day my older brother got in an argument and he then threatened to run away. He packed a few things and ran out of the house with a blanket wrapped around him and he was determined to make it on his own... Not too long after my dad found him and brought him home. I bet the boy in the picture turns around and goes home before going too far- but Anyway... have a great Wednesday! I posted a process picture because I thought some of you may find it interesting to see.

Alchemy Hog 2
With me still being so new to digital painting this is all I have to show for 3 hours of work on this guy. A little pathetic, I know- I spend half of the time trying things and going back and changing them- but It is time for bed. Have a great Thursday

Alchemy Hog
A Friend suggested I check out a drawing tool called Alchemy- so I did. I was throwing together random shapes until I saw something in them, which is what the left image is. I then took it into photoshop and drew out this pig character (very rough) For tomorrows doodle I will continue rendering him and add some color to see what I come up with. This is a very fun drawing practice that helps with the creative process of deciding what to draw. Let me know if you like this sort of doodle and I will do more if the results are positive. I am hoping the rendering and coloring look good!
